Morning Coffee on Ravelry

I'm having my morning coffee. It's about 11 am, so it's not so early. But here I am on Ravelry, knitting while I browse and realizing I am in Love with the set of Bryspun circs I recently picked up at Michael Levine. I have always hated synthetic needles, and love the feel of quality yarn next to wooden needles. But hello! They are so smooth and soft to knit with. I got an easy 16 inch circular set, too, so they are really compact. (the needle size/circ length is not printed on the needle, so I'll have to remember for the future. drat. I always forget.) I love knitting that easily travels with me. Supposedly, we are soon to go out on a bit of a road trip to see the sights and spend time with family (I'm so excited!) Not sure when we would be going, but this would be a great project to take along. It would really travel!

So Early!

First blogger post, and I'm starting with a photo of half-knitted socks. But that's what a lot of my life has been like lately. Soft, smooshy and crazy with colors, but still in progress. I get easily frustrated with the in-progress thing, and know I should focus on the crazy colors part. When I signed on today, I went over to my old diaryland site and read through posts from a few years ago. I think I try really hard, and am about equally hard on myself. This girl needs to ease up! So there we have it-- the sock in this picture is actually complete in real life, with a second sock started. Much better in real life than in photos!

I have been frequenting the Ravelry "antsy" check in. Before Labor Day there were about 190 people being invited (I'm still in the 10,000 + range) per day. Now it's doubled to about 280 a day. The website said they had gotten in new servers. I can't wait to see what's going on in there.
